This series uses material from the Great Schools of Dune trilogy, by Brian Herbert and Kevin J
Narrative
Two Harkonnen sisters combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.. Whether they are exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about..
The incident with Valya Harkonnen using voice is from one called 'Mentats of Dune'
Anderson. A prequel to the original Dune, it tells how the Sisterhood of Rossak evolved into the Bene Gesserit.

All three books interweave the development of the Sisterhood, the Mentats, the Navigators and the Suk Doctors.. It is pretty stupid to me how many people are complaining about this show after one decent pilot.
The quality was fine
I would give the first episode a 7.6. It wasn't a masterpiece, but it definitely wasn't crappy like so many of these stupid reviewers are giving it.NO, it is not like Sex in the City.
And YES, the whole mission of the Benne Ghesserit is about manipulating bloodlines within politics
That's stated from the movies as well as the books, so what are you people giving it 1-5 stars talking about!? Let a couple more episodes be released first, dang!Stop rating the series so extremely after just one episode.
